About Us

Cornerstone Mission Church has been operating since 2018. By the grace of God, Cornerstone continued worshipping online even during Covid. As we now are able to meet together in person, the church continues to stream online in order to stay connected with the online community. Pastor Vic, the senior pastor, often says the church operates as a hospital. We are a church to help others heal from their brokenness and help build each other up in Christ. Even if you are passing through, we are here to be a place of restoration for anyone who needs it. Cornerstone partners with several churches in the Charlotte and surrounding area. We believe that all believers in Jesus make up the Body of Christ.

As a church, our deepest desire is...

To know Him and make Him known. (John 17:3)

To worship Him in Spirit and Truth. (John 4:23-24)

To be a “House of Prayer, for all Races.” (Mark 11:17)

To do the Work of the Father. (Matt 28:19-20)

To care for “Widows and Orphans!” (James 1:27)

To be Rooted and Grounded in the Love of Christ for One Another.  (Eph 3:17, John 13:34-35)

Statement of Faith

The Word of God

We Believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the word of God, fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, without error in the original manuscripts, having final authority in all matters of life and conduct.

The Trinity

We Believe that there is one true God, eternally existent in three Persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. This triune God created all, upholds all and governs all, and that these three having the same nature, attributes, and perfections, are worthy of the same worship, reverence, and obedience.

God the Father

We Believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

We Believe in the deity of Jesus Christ; in His Virgin Birth; in His sinless life; in His miracles; in His substitutionary and atoning death through His shed blood; in His bodily resurrection; in His ascension to the right hand of the Father; in His priestly intercession for His people; and in His personal return in power and glory as King of kings and Lord of lords.

The Holy Spirit

We Believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ in that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and exercise all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit, in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. Spiritual gifts are given to glorify God and to edify His church.

The Salvation of Man

We Believe that Salvation is by grace, a free gift of God apart from works. Salvation requires repentance, and is received through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and that we become regenerated by the Holy Spirit resulting in a visibly changed life, motivated by continual obedience to the Word of God and evidenced by character reflecting Godliness.

Marriage

We Believe that Marriage is God-ordained. “The creator made them male and female, and said, “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh” (Matthew 19:4-5). Marriage is to be an exclusive relationship, a lifelong faithful union between a man and a woman. This relationship between a husband and wife should parallel the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:23-30).

The Church

We Believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all believers in Christ are members. We believe it is the duty of every believer to identify with, participate in, and be supportive of a local church and its leadership.

The Gospel

We Believe the supreme mission of the Church is to go into all of the world and preach the Gospel to all people. The Lord Jesus gave His life to secure salvation for us. In appreciating His sacrifice, we must follow His example and dedicate our lives and resources to bring the Gospel to those who do not yet know Him as Lord and Savior.

Our Blessed Hope

We Believe in the new heavens and the new earth and the new Jerusalem, the city of God, descending out of heaven and filled with the glory of God; in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom; in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment, the eternal joy of the righteous, and endless suffering for those who reject Jesus as Lord on earth.

Ordinances

We believe that the ordinances of the church, by the command of Christ, are Water Baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, both of which are administered to those who are born again.
